Recently we had the pleasure of helping Living As A Leader with the launch of their new eLearning initiative. Living As A Leader specializes in leadership training and coaching for frontline, middle management, and senior leadership teams. The eLearning platform will not only augment their successful classroom and one-on-one training curriculum but will also enhance learner engagement and expand their product offering.
Through consultation and a discovery process, we helped identify and design parts of the eLearning platform. The main components of the platform is a mobile app, a robust LMS system, and a user management portal.
The management portal was custom coded, built specifically to manage the firm's user onboarding and management process. The management tool facilitates user imports, automates onboarding emails, and provides groups management and reporting. It also integrates with other the other eLearning tools via API integration. We also implemented single sign-on (SSO) technology between the various eLearning Tools. This was accomplished using a cloud-based authentication service, minimizing the need for a custom authentication framework and minimizing cost.
While the back-end management portal was being built, our mobile developers were busy with the eLearning mobile app. The app serves as an engagement and reference tool for Living As A Leader learners. The app not only provides easy and quick access to workshop content, but it also replaces emails for timely electronic delivery of workshop tips and to-dos. Learners can also reach the LMS system through the app thanks to single sign-on (SSO). The mobile app was built using hybrid mobile app technology which allowed us to target both Apple iOS and Android mobile devices.
The tools used for these projects include Cordova, Ionic, Auth0, Laravel and more.
